Sohil delivers a new soulful single titled "Where You Gonna Go?"
Closing out the year with another memorable song, Sohil has just shared his latest, “Where You Gonna Go?”. We’re loving this one! Read on for our full review of the track, in addition to a much needed background on the artist.
Currently based out of Washington DC, Sohil is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer who’s effortlessly putting together his own brand of soulful pop music. Stripping things back on his latest single “Where You Gonna Go?”, the artist has stylistically centered this song around his heartfelt vocals that tell a compelling story. Needless to say, we can’t wait for everyone out there to give this one a listen.
Throughout his music he tends to speak on themes such as love, relationships, and purpose, and this new song doesn’t break the mold. So much of what we enjoyed about this song was his vocal delivery that really lures in the listener, calms them down, and allows them to make the connections within his song. We think the reason being for that is most likely because his voice is so warm and welcoming, however the entire atmosphere of the song isn’t too far off either.
On the background of the track though, Sohil let us know that this song was written in the height of the quarantine of 2020 and describes the internal battle of wanting to escape, but being unable to. That’s about as relatable as it comes, because if you had your eyes open during the last year, you most likely felt very similar.
All in all though, there wasn’t a single solitary moment about this song that wasn’t thoroughly enjoyable. For us, “Where You Gonna Go?” is the big hug that we needed in song form and we thank Sohil for delivering it to the world. We truly can’t wait to see what 2022 has to offer the artist, because from the looks of this year, it can only go up!
