On just her fourth overall single and first of the year titled “Hitcha”, Shae Smolik is already proving she’s got what it takes to hit it big. Read on for a positive review of the track, as well as a much needed background on this artist.

For this Off The Row artist named Shae Smolik, she’s already making massive waves within the country scene after delivering hit after hit since 2020’s debut “White Noise”. With a music video to accompany the single (linked below), we firsthand get to experience the background of it all which deals with her “planning her revenge for a boy who cheated”. All in all, it’s a wild and suspenseful ride from start to finish, and we’re overwhelmingly recommending a listen and a watch ASAP.

With help on the production end by Off The Row Studio’s P.T. Houston, the two collaborators have justifiably given “Hitcha” a touch of drama within its sound. While the backing instrumentation is certainly a beauty on its own, one of the major things we couldn’t help but notice was how Shae’s vocals shift within the bridge of the song. There’s clearly a ton of passion and emotion that prop the song up given the unfortunate personal experience and situation, however her delivery makes it so that all the listeners can relate with the problem. We instantly envisioned hearing this song in a TV show that breaks it down in full, but honestly, the music video does a stellar job of painting a picture too.

Considering Shae is also an actress that you may have seen on specific Netflix or Roku shows, she’s not just a one note musician, rather she’s come out strong and proved she can do it all. Although her current discography is on the smaller side, there’s no doubt about it that it’s mighty in its prowess to impress. Now having listened over and over to “Hitcha”, we’re practically begging for a follow up that hopefully hits sometime sooner rather than later. If for some reason you’re unfamiliar with any of Shae Smolik’s work, let us point you in the direction of those important links below where you can listen, follow along, and of course keep up with the latest surrounding this talented musician. Enjoy!
