SevenOh!3 Sounds goes back to the basic on relaxing single, "Over Myself"
If you haven’t been paying close attention, as of recently SevenOh!3 Sounds has been on a roll of a lifetime with a massive amount of genre-bending new singles. His latest “Over Myself” follows that path flawlessly and it’s exactly why we’re urging everyone out there to check out our full review.
As an in-house music producer for Three Pillars Music Group and continuing to gear up for another whopping record titled Another...Instrumentals Vol.64, SevenOh!3 Sounds is as real as they come. Chances are you saw our last review for his song “Tangential”, a real groovy number, however the artist has come back around and slowed things down for a vibe on “Over Myself”. He’s created a bit of whiplash in the styles and music he’s creating, but there’s no doubt that everything that has been shared so far can easily find an audience no matter your preference.
Says the artist himself, this one is an “ode to traditional R&B and Soul records that inspired love”. Truly, this one is about as simple and as clean as you could possibly want in a piece of art as it glides on by and keeps your ears perked up throughout. Like all of his music, it’s a pure instrumental, but this piece infuses a mallet e-piano and some surprise electric guitar thrown in as well for a bit of pizzazz. Labeled as chill by SevenOh!3 Sounds, we can’t help but overwhelmingly agree as right from the opening notes, the mood and atmospheres shift for something a little more laidback, relaxed, but ultimately uplifting and unbelievably original.
We’ve said it once and we’ll continue to pound it in, but the versatility and sheer expansive mind of this artist are downright mind blowing. So many out there are only able to create a little bit of this and that, but if you go through everything he’s shared in the past six months or so, it’ll give you so much visibility into his artistic vision and swirling mind. Whether you want to rage, relax, or find something sweet in the middle ground, he’s got you covered. The album is right around the corner, but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t enjoying this slow and focused rollout that gives an opportunity to feel the waves of emotion through song.
