SevenOh!3 Sounds teases upcoming record with calming instrumental, "Illustrious"
Serving up his first instrumental of the year, SevenOh!3 Sounds hasn’t let his creativity stop whatsoever on his newest single, “Illustrious”. Keep reading as we break down our thoughts on the track, in addition to an update on this artist.
For those who may not be a familiar, SevenOh!3 Sounds is a prolific and eclectic artist who’s continually reinventing and experimenting with his sound. Beginning to tease out singles off of his newest album Another…Instrumentals Vol.64 via HRDRV.com, this newest one is called “Illustrious” and it’s an absolute vibe from beginning to end. Listeners will experience glimmers of R&B, Chill Hop, and Jazz, but undoubtedly this artist has infused it all with his signature essence. Don’t think twice, we’re urging everyone to hit the play button.
It’s been a little while since we last reviewed the work of SevenOh!3 Sounds, but unsurprisingly, he’s been extremely hard at work in the studio putting together and planning out a massive amount of releases for 2023. We’ll be covering them all well into the year, but for now we’re shifting our focus to his latest “Illustrious”. As soon as you dig in, there’s a hint of minimalism that makes the more serious moments pop, however it still manages to put you in a deep daze of relaxation. Ultimately it’s a piano and guitar-based instrumental, but 100% becomes a thing of its own due to the original beats and calming sensations it exudes right from the start. Typically we’re not always sold on pure instrumentals due to them having so many similarities, but there’s something about this artist’s particular style that is so fresh and inviting.
It’s been said about his past works as well, but this one goes along the same path of having such a versatility about it for different listening environments. Truly, you could enjoy this as background music for studying, it could be popped on at a party or kickback, or you could listen intently and try to break it all down yourselves. SevenOh!3 Sounds’ music is limitless and we’re thrilled that so much more is in the works.
