Scott the Pisces engineers a perfect summer sound on "Crazy About You"
Following up his stellar debut EP Ocean Blue, Scott the Pisces has just let loose an absolute wonder of a single titled “Crazy About You”. Please read along for our full and in-depth review of the track, as well as a background on the artist.
Produced and written solely by Scott the Pisces over a period of 2 months, “Crazy About You” is the perfect follow up to an EP that we thought couldn’t be topped. Featuring RAENE on the track as well, Scott has mastered the art of creating and imagining art for others as well. Radiating that same youthful energy from the previous record, this is 100% the single you should be getting into as soon as possible.
Released officially on July 2nd, 2021, Scott wants the impending listener to imagine themselves having the experience of falling in love for the first time. Surrounding and swirling lyrics about the complex topic, the overall feel and vibe of “Crazy About You” has translated wonderfully. Including bits of instrumentation by himself in the form of guitar, a certain rawness and originality was added to what would have been a great song without it as well.
Looking towards inspirations in the form of Carly Rae Jepsen, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift in the creation process, the production side of things have definitely amped up a whole lot since Ocean Blue. Listening multiple times through at this point, it has legitimately gotten better with each subsequent listen. The immense amount of emotion that is evoked from just one song is hard to fathom, which is why we highly recommend you check out this song for yourself to really form your own judgments. In our opinion though, there’s no way you won’t love it immediately.
One thing we particularly love about Scott the Pisces as a whole is his inclusion of other artists on the rise. While he could surely take things into his own hands and still make a great song, picking others up who deserve a name for themselves is a great thing to do. Wrapping it all up though, this is definitely a single and an artist you don’t want to miss out on. As summertime picks up in our part of the world, it’s music like this that will be soundtracking the coming months.
