Samantha Margret gets her "Negative Space" remixed by Easy Morning
As if Samantha Margret’s “Negative Space” wasn’t great enough already, she just got the remix treatment from Easy Morning! Prepare yourselves for a fantastic track and read on for our full review, in addition to a background on the artists.
What could be considered a semi unlikely pairing, ultimately turned out to be one of our favorite remixed songs in quite some time. It turns out that when Los Angeles music producer Easy Morning got a hold of Samantha Margret’s “Negative Space”, the only direction he could take it was up. While we are overwhelmingly recommending you check out the remixed version, we implore all listeners to listen to the original to really hear the major differences.
For the girl who wants to own her history, her body, and her feelings, we can confidently say that Samantha Margret is doing everything right in her artistic journey to do so. Having grown up in San Francisco, she quickly took to poetry and songwriting, which then led to the blossoming music career she’s built today. We’ve been nothing but impressed by “Negative Space”, however the rest of her growing discography is worth a listen as well. It’s been lovely to listen from back to front to really hear and witness her growth as an artist.
Speaking on the remix though, Easy Morning truly worked his magic on this one. As much as we loved checking out the rest of Samantha’s music, it’s going to be equally as great of a journey getting to hear him too. You can already tell that for someone so early on in his career, he’s made massive production strides in order to make this particular track work. Starting out from a somber ballad and turning it into the end product could not have been an easy task.
Once again, and without giving too much else away, you’ve got to check out these respective artists and their newest collaborations. After you’ve done that though, make sure to check out their work and to follow along for everything else that’s on the way. We’ve got a sneaking suspicion that bigger things are on the way, but you’ll just have to stay tuned to find out.
