Fresh off of her debut single titled “My Own Prison”, we got the incredible opportunity to interview the artist behind the music, Samantha Gangal! Check out our latest discussion below.

Actress, singer, and songwriter Samantha Gangal is quickly proving just how multi-dimensional she really is as an entertainer and performer. While her covers of “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Shallow” were nothing short of amazing, her first original single “My Own Prison” is everything we could’ve hoped for and more. Getting to speak with Samantha all about it was an absolute treat, don’t miss it.

On the background of the track, the song is actually a collaboration between Samantha and producer David Kidd who has worked with such notable young talent as Hayden Summerall and Annie LeBlanc. While we talked about it in more in-depth in our interview, “My Own Prison” was inspired by events in her own life and the lives of those around her. The single explores the internal battle of being trapped and the feeling of helplessness when life seems out of control.

What’s so great about discovering Samantha at the beginning of her music career is that now we get to witness the greatness as she continues to put out more hits just like this. On the song itself, it really was just an unbelievably well put together track that centers the song around her striking vocals. While the subject matter is certainly personal, her conviction and passion in the music is what sold us on it the most. We can’t forget about the instrumentation and production either, especially because they laid the base wonderfully and created the ideal atmosphere.

Without giving too much else away, let us please just urge you once more to check out Samantha Gangal’s new single, it’s really a dazzling beauty. We’ve made it easier than ever to do so because we’ve included all the important links below. You can follow along with her musical journey as well, we think that there’s a lot more on the way, so definitely stay tuned as she continues to release. Enjoy!
