Sabrina Shauna masterfully creates a throwback jam on her newest, "The Last Song, Pt. 2"

Finishing up 2020 with a freshly released single, Sabrina Shauna has just put forth her newest, “The Last Song, Pt. 2”. We’ve instantly fallen in love. Please read along with us for our thoughts on the track, in addition to a background on the artist herself.
For those who may be unaware, Sabrina Shauna is a Filipina-American R&B singer and songwriter who was born and raised in the Bay Area of California. From singing at her local church to writing down her thoughts and emotions at the young age of 13, she quickly developed a love and appreciation for the art of music. Releasing hit after hit since 2018, this newest release could potentially be her best thus far.
The ultimate goal of the artist’s music is to inspire others to not feel alone when it comes to dealing with or expressing their emotions; there is always more love and hope out there to embrace. In addition to that though, we’re incredibly excited to announce that Sabrina is currently in the works of new music (a new EP!) that’s slated for a release sometime in 2021.
On “The Last Song, Pt. 2” though, words can almost not describe how lovely of a performance this was from start to finish. Emulating and having the feel of a classic 90’s throwback jam is what we enjoyed, but the true star of the show were just how delicate Sabrina’s vocal delivery was when delivering those hard hitting lyrics. As beautiful as the song might have been, the story and themes explored behind it is what truly made this a memorable for us.
Instrumentally speaking, the inclusion of subtle acoustic guitars, a somber backing track, and a heavy focus on the vocals is exactly the type of mood we wanted when formulating a song of this caliber. After listening through this a few times, then through the rest of her discography, it quickly became clear that her talents know no bounds within the framework of an R&B track.
While yes, this was our first deep dive into the music of Sabrina Shauna, let it be known right now that it absolutely isn’t going to be our last. With new tunes and visuals on the way, it’s only a matter of time until we’ll be singing her high praises yet again. For now though, we think the only logical thing to do on the reader’s part would be to listen in on what she’s done so far. Her music is meaningful, full of love, and is as genuine as could possibly be. She’s done it, we’re fans.
