After a series of singles leading up to the big day, RIP Kenny’s full length album Escapism has finally made its debut. Please do yourselves a favor and read on for a closer look into the record, as well as an update on this artist.

Featuring an incredibly diverse mix and usage of metal, punk, and melodic dubstep, RIP Kenny’s record Escapism is an absolute thriller from start to finish. Seriously, having listened through in its entirety, it’s been so long since we’ve been filled up with adrenaline from a record of this proportion. Having led up to this big day with four singles that we confidently feel summed up the experience, nothing could have prepared us for a start to finish listen. If you know what’s good for you, click the play button here immediately.

For the dubstep lovers out there, this is going to become your new favorite record, but for those who enjoy expanding their horizons into new realm of sound, consider yourself about to be enlightened. Through 14 total tracks that span just south of an hour, it’s an immersive experience that sucks you up on the opener “Remember This Day” and takes you through atmospheres of sonic distortion and beyond. On the background of it all, RIP Kenny has stated that “each track taken is a story of life, leisure, love, and loss in the majestic and unforgiving Oregon mountainscapes”. To be honest, we’re going to have to come back for further listens to break down the lyricism, mainly because all other facets were so perfectly overwhelming.

As a primarily electronic rock record, it’s hard to deny the punk influence, especially through the drumming. A major highlight and milestone of our listen was just how unbelievably powerful the drums come through to take this to another level of insanity. Specific tracks like “Lost” and “Get Out While You Can” fit that bill, but it’s undoubtedly a constant as well throughout the others. So much of this listen is difficult to put into words without actually experiencing the nature of it all, so with that, we’re urging everyone to give this a spin right now!

Please, click the links below to listen, follow along, and of course to stay tuned for hopefully much more on the way from RIP Kenny.
