Following up his cover of The Beatles’ “I Saw Her Standing There”, Rich Chambers has made a valiant return with an original, “You’re a Nice Guy But…”. Keep reading for a closer look at the track, as well as an update on one of our favorite artists.

Created as a joint effort and co-written with a band that he was with a few years ago, Rich Chambers has still managed to impart his signature essence on his latest, “You’re a Nice Guy But…”. No matter what he makes though, there’s always so much influence from decades past and it’s a main reason why we vibed with Rich’s music initially. This newest endeavor is no different, although there was a surprise bit of comedy presented, which added a wonderful touch. Regardless, we’ve got to highly recommend everyone give this a spin.

One of the cooler parts of this song’s creation is how it was initially built out of a jam between the drummer and Rich while they were both noodling around. That earwormy guitar lick fit perfectly, the story was ideal, and before they knew it the song was finished up in about 30 minutes! For something as clean and catchy as this is, it always goes to show you that some of the greatest songs just click instead of taking years to meticulously craft. Even better is it sonically feels like the band are having the time of their lives through their perky delivery and a vibrant instrumentation.

Of course while “You’re a Nice Guy But…” has a real feel good attitude, your attention is immediately drawn to the lyricism. We mentioned a bit of comedy which honestly lightened the song up even more and put smiles across our collective faces. The versatility in music as a whole means it can basically be anything, serious or not. In this case though, Rich and company have given the world something easy, breezy, and lighthearted which is exactly what we were in the mood for. You can instantly envision yourself learning the words and humming this around the house or singing at the top of your lungs on the highway; the options are limitless.

With so much more on the way in 2022, Rich is teasing a handful of singles and maybe even an album by year’s end. At this point of us reviewing his work, we’re open to it all and sincerely can’t wait to listen.
