After two fantastic lead up singles, Remain have just put out their stellar debut album Millennial Nation. We are in love! Read on for our full record review, as well as a refresher on these rockers.
Based out of Denton, Texas, Remain are keeping the spirit of rock alive in a big way. On their debut album Millennial Nation, the band have successfully fused every positive of songwriting, heavy instrumentation, and a massive dose of creativity. Whatever kind of music you normally consume, we can guarantee there’s something you can pick out and enjoy here. We highly recommend you check it out as soon as possible.
After releasing “City of July” and “The Heart Beats On” as precursors to the main event, Remain gave listeners insight into the thematic elements of Millennial Nation as a whole. As young individuals still experiencing the growing pains of coming of age both on the individual and societal level, Remain have expertly put together a cohesive record that clearly details the highs and lows of the journey to where they want to be. If anything, you’re going to be quite inspired by the lyricism on this record, it’s a no holds barred open look into a talented group of individuals.
For the most part, Millennial Nation is an album focused on what it’s like to be young in America. Paired enthusiastically by standout tracks like “Lost in America” and “The Heart Beats On”, every single thrilling moment on this album is a moment to get to know the band and rock out at the same time. While seemingly every moment felt like a highlight, we do have to point out the commanding vocals, expert mixing, and varied instrumentation that kept us guessing from the opening notes.
Another big thing was how many individual genres can be picked out here. While at moments it definitely veers on the heavier grungy side of rock, there’s a lot of lighter moments that are adoring as well. When we mean any lover of music can appreciate this, we sincerely mean it. Enough talk though, do yourselves a huge favor and get into this record right now by checking out all of the important links featured below. Enjoy!
