Released right around Valentine’s Day, Ré Alissa’s latest musical offering “MOVIE” was the perfect track to bask in the season of love. Please read on for our glowing review of the single, in addition to a background on this talented artist.

Representing the Los Angeles music scene at the moment, Ré Alissa has officially shared a single and nostalgia-filled music video for her song, “MOVIE”. Documenting a late night romance, partially taking place in the 90’s, she’s somehow managed to delicately blend sounds of the past with the modern and future. You’ll know exactly what we mean once you start listening and we highly recommend you do as soon as possible.

Having worked with mega stars in the past like Juice WRLD, Toni Braxton, and so many more, Ré Alissa has continued to consistently release music that soothes the soul from within. Even taking the message away from it all on “MOVIE”, there’s a certain warmth and sincere passion that courses throughout the track. We think it may have to do with her silky vocals or the smooth R&B production, but for us, this song feels like one giant hug wrapping you up.

Now as wonderful as the song really is, we feel that it truly amplifies itself based on the music video and the real life aspects that it provides. Everything you’re probably imagining after making those connections within her deep lyricism has come to life with this much needed visual representation. With production effects that mimic the best music videos of the 1990’s, this one fits in like a glove. We can’t state enough that the song fills us with nostalgia, but with the addition of this video, it takes it over the top in the best way possible.

Ré Alissa has done it again and added yet another gem to her growing discography. If for some reason this is your introduction to her music, we can think of no better place to dive in than right here. It wouldn’t be complete without a proper listen and viewing, so we’ve gone ahead and included all the important links below for you to do just that. Additionally, we recommend you follow her on social media because there’s undoubtedly more that’s headed your way in 2022. Enjoy!
