Sincerely delivering a breathtaking performance, Piper Cole has gone above and beyond with the fresh release of her single, “Oh Honey”. Keep reading as we share our complete thoughts on the track, as well as a background on this artist.

For those potentially out of the loop, Piper Cole is an emerging musician currently based out of Canada. She’s consistently serving up an immensely unique take on electronic and folk music that comes together to create a truly extraordinary sound. Paired with her classically trained vocals that act as a cherry on top to the mix, her newest single “Oh Honey’ is an astounding addition to her already impressive discography. Without a doubt, it’s both an artist and song we’re urging you all to partake in.

Composed in order to become “a song of comfort to us all”, there really are so many relaxing elements that are featured throughout “Oh Honey”. While we easily could pick apart multiple moments in our initial listen that stand out as highlights, a major takeaway is how this song perfectly breaks the mold of what anyone would consider to be normal. What makes this special is that there’s so much happening at once within the production, you sort of get immersed more into the overall experience rather than taking it in as just another song. Through the soundscapes swirling in the background, the way that Piper’s vocals sit so nicely in the middle, and the moody rhythms of it all, there’s seriously so much to love here.

Furthermore, even though there’s so much happening sonically, “Oh Honey” is also extremely lyric driven in its attempt to help the listener out in times of crisis. Life as we know it is absolutely insane, to say the least, but what this song does is slows down time for the moment and reassures you that everything is going to be ok in the long run. She says, “You’ve been running for too long. Oh, honey, I get it, I am here with you and you just gotta hang on.”. Those are words to live by and a real reason that we’ve vibed with this song so much. For now, we’ll gladly be exploring the rest of Piper Cole’s music.
