Painted Lady breaks down debut single "Blacked Out" in full interview
Released officially on March 11th, 2021, Painted Lady has put forth an absolutely jaw dropping debut single, that goes by the name of “Blacked Out”. We got the incredible opportunity to catch up with the artist in a full length interview, which you can watch by clicking the link below.
Maddie Turner, who is better known as Painted Lady, was nice enough to sit with us for an in-depth interview to speak about her debut single, “Blacked Out”. What could be described as a moody pop song, is actually so much more than that once you dig deeper. Inspired by the likes of Maggie Rogers and Lorde, Painted Lady is a talent and force to be reckoned with. We’re beyond excited for her future music releases.
Currently based out of Nashville, TN, Painted Lady is an idea that was born in quarantine that has evolved into a powerful revelation on embracing what the world calls flaws and exchanging them with connection. The artist’s music mixes “messy relationships and so called bad decisions, using them as colors that make up the masterpiece that is your twenties.”
While we certainly don’t want to give too much away about our talk, because we’d much prefer you watched for yourself, Maddie Turner more than proved to us that she’s the real deal. Her eyes are on the prize and she knows what she wants within her musical endeavour. Luckily for the lovers of “Blacked Out”, there’s more on the way in the forms of singles and music videos. Like any independent artist these days, keeping a regular release schedule is of the utmost importance when making a name for yourself. We’ll just be happy to say we knew her when she ultimately blows up.
Considering there’s only one song to dig into so far, there’s not too much homework out there for the first time listener, besides watching the interview. With that being said though, we are very obviously recommending you check out “Blacked Out” as soon as possible. The song will speak for itself in its maturity and context, but all in all it proves to be a wonderful debut from a clearly impressive artist.
