The day has finally come and our expectations have been far exceeded! Nora Lillith’s debut EP Daysof8 is out and ready to be listened to. Read on for our glowing review of the record, as well as a refresher on this talented artist.

Everything that you’re about to hear on Daysof8 came exclusively from the genius mind of Norah Lillith. Taking the writing, producing, and mixing into her own hands, she’s put together a wonderfully eclectic mix of genres touching on house, R&B, jazz, and so many more. More of an experience than a standard normal listen, prep yourselves for something perfectly experimental music that is sure to leave you impressed.

After falling in love with her teaser single “Misfed”, we had a feeling that the EP as a whole would deliver. What we were left with after our initial listen was complete joy and a refreshing feeling that there’s still a whole lot of creativity out there in original works. At 6 songs total, Nora takes the listener under her wing and shows them exactly what she’s made of. The songs are expansive yet minimalistic at certain points. One moment you’ll be focusing on her serene lo-fi vocals and the next you’ll be wondering just exactly how she achieved certain textures.

At first we thought that the singles might just be nice to listen to on their own in the future, but listening to the entirety of it at all in relation to one another, there’s a certain cohesiveness of Daysof8 that we weren’t expecting at all. Lyrically we’re going to have to do some relistening to make sense of the message she’s trying to put across, but sonically speaking she’s nailed an EP-wide tone that doesn’t let go until the final moments on “My Only”.

Honestly and sincerely, this record is otherworldly and would be an absolute trip to witness in a live setting. Entering Nora’s world that she created was a treat and we know we’ll be anxiously waiting for whatever else arises. We know how difficult this was to make, so no rush on the artist’s end, but of course we do recommend you familiarize yourself with a listen as soon as humanly possible.
