Nightly Gatherings revolutionizes his sound on stellar record, "Don't Worry"
Having covered this artist extensively over the past two years, we’re beyond thrilled because Nightly Gatherings has just dropped another stellar record on us titled Don’t Worry. Do yourselves a favor and enjoy our full review, as well as an update on the artist.
Nightly Gatherings' sophomore album, Don’t Worry, has arrived and it is poised to make a significant impact on the indie dance scene. The album features a seamless fusion of indie and electronic music, resulting in a unique sound that is both familiar and refreshing. Keeping a close eye on this artist’s work has paid off in droves, but this time around he’s truly outdone himself on the production end by far. Obviously we recommend everyone to listen as this one feels even more special than the last.
With support from well known names in the industry such as Manila Killa, Slow Magic, and Former Hero, it is no surprise that Don’t Worry has been building up hype ever since Nightly Gatherings’ debut, Tethered Together. The album kicks off with the opening track "Not Like This", which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its pulsing beat, catchy melody, and melodic vocals that immediately suck you in.
The title track "Don't Worry" is a standout on the album, with its infectious chorus and uplifting lyrics. It's a reminder to not let the struggles of life get you down and to keep moving forward. The song is sure to be a crowd pleaser at Nightly Gatherings' live shows. That’s really one of our favorite elements of his music overall is that as artistic and introspective as the words can be, ultimately it’s an energy-filled dance party on the instrumental end just waiting to explode.
Another highlight on the record is "Love Me At My Lowest", which features dreamy vocals and a driving beat that is reminiscent of 80s synth-pop. The song's production is top-notch and showcases the band's ability to seamlessly blend electronic and acoustic elements. Nightly Gatherings also experimented with different sounds on Don’t Worry that have sort of propelled him from the past. We got a taste on his last single “Time With U 2022”, but nothing could have prepared us for the final product. These songs incorporate elements of funk, electronic, and so much more, adding a new dimension to the album and showcasing his endless versatility.
Overall, Don't Worry is an impressive sophomore effort from Nightly Gatherings. The album is cohesive and well-produced, and it is sure to lead a new wave of indie-dance. With catchy hooks and uplifting lyrics, the album is the perfect soundtrack to lift your spirits and get you dancing.
