Continuing to balance her songs effortlessly with a sweet mix of inventive lyricism, top tier production, and her uniquely vibrant vocals, Myla Vie’s newest song “The Game” is nothing short of outstanding. Creating suspense within the sound and style, we were instantly pulled into this world and atmosphere she’s created. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll give this one a listen immediately.
Now while it’s been a little bit since we last reviewed Myla, that hasn’t made a difference in our sincere need to hear more. She’s clearly been hard at work striving to reinvent her sound and on “The Game”, she’s done exactly that. Absolutely she’s still included those constants that give her a signature feel to her music, but like any proficient artist, there’s an allure of thinking outside the box to create a dark and focused listen.
Her debut EP The Irony of Loneliness was spectacular to say the least, and it wasn’t lacking in any way, but this feels like a closer peek into the future for style. With more music prepping itself for release in 2022, it’s difficult to imagine a world where she doesn’t keep one upping herself. Keeping things emotive and suspenseful seems like her thing, so whatever else this year has in store, we’ll undoubtedly be waiting for as soon as it drops!
