MUNGMUNG crafts conceptually vibrant single, "Nascar"

Blending up a masterful mix of Hip Hop, R&B, and Pop, MUNGMUNG is using her unique style of songwriting and memorable vocals to make music that we’re loving. On her newest single “Nascar”, which is actually her third collaboration with rising producer Taka Perry, the two have struck gold in a song that we legitimately have had stuck in our heads for a week now. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll give this song a listen immediately.
Full of energy right from the start, the background of “Nascar” is cleverly in the title says MUNGMUNG. It’s a “double entendre compound term for getting ‘nasty in the car’” While you’ll have to make connections within the lyrics yourself, we quickly felt that this song was worth a few listens due to its complexity on the production side and witty lyrics that you may potentially miss on the first time around. It covers the aspects of a young, reckless, and wild physical relationship and how to keep it exciting in the long run.
At just a little over three and a half minutes in total run time, the song itself takes the listener on a memorable journey through seemingly infinite musical genres. If for some reason your attention span isn’t what it used to be, this is the ideal song to listen to because of the changing rhythms, time signatures, and the immense amount of depth that each moment and passage holds. Truly, there isn’t a single negative we could point out here because of just how innovative it was as a listen. These two collaborators clearly put so much work and passion in and the final product shows.
Honestly, we know for a fact we’ll be digging into each artist’s discography as soon as we can due to how impressed we were with “Nascar”.
