As romantic as it possibly gets, we’ve quickly fallen in love with the newest single release from Mister Co. called “Tonight”, Please read on as we break down our thoughts on the track, in addition to a closer look at this duo.

Written for their wedding day and now “for lovers around the world”, the power duo of Connor and Oscar Absolum have pulled at our emotions with their latest single, “Tonight”. Having only been writing together since after their wedding in April, the two have made immense strides in their craft and this newest endeavor is truly breathtaking when you listen closely to the words and feel the passion in their delivery. Of course, we’re encouraging everyone to hit the play button as soon as you can.

Freshly released on December 1st, 2022, the Melbourne-based husband duo called Mister Co. have given us a love song for the ages. From high school lovers to now creating more beauty within their specific sound and style, everything about “Tonight” instantly feels genuine and sincere. On the background of it all, the duo have said, “Our story is that we are an actual love story. We met in high school where music was the foundation of our relationship. We were from two different worlds, yet music is what led us to find each other”. The intensity that music can have on any two individuals is always perplexing, but the fact that it brought and kept these two together, let alone starting a project of their own is downright incredible.

While this song is generally a straightforward love ballad, it also infuses together so much of their personal styles. It features little glimmers of Oscar’s love for musical theater and Connor’s for soul and pop. Through little moments and subtleties within “Tonight”, the two have composed something that legitimately anyone would be able to confide in, and also a song that wouldn’t be surprising to be heard at any other couple’s wedding. Through three minutes of perfection, it’s got a crisp production, euphoric vocals, and vivid lyricism to create a living storyboard in your head. For now, we’re seriously looking forward to whatever else Mister Co. has planned for the near future.
