Prepare yourselves for four minutes of pure beauty, because Milquetoast & Co. have just shared their intimate sounding single titled “Arson on Vine”. We’re loving it! Please read on for a closer look into the track, as well as a background on the band.

Currently representing the Denver music scene, Milquetoast & Co. are an alternative folk sextet that have so elegantly infused a ton of inspiration into their latest single, “Arson on Vine”. Bending genres like Jazz, Blues, and so much more into an isolated song, they’ve managed to create mega fans out of us in just one listen. Needless to say, we sincerely can’t wait for everyone out there to give this a spin as soon as possible.

Equal parts dreamy and cinematic, “Arson on Vine” collectively gave us shivers the first time we hit the play button. Seriously, the extra focus on the production here, mixed with the horns and inviting vocals is the recipe for success in our eyes. On the background of the track, its aim is to give listeners an “image of a tortured arsonist stepping from the wreckage of the house he just burned down”. If there was ever a song that desperately needed a music video accompaniment, it would certainly be this one to truly break down the deep lyricism and story that this follows. The next best thing is actually a live performance of the song that’s just been shared, don’t miss it!

While it feels like we enjoyed every facet of this song as a whole, the thing that probably stood out the most is that they haven’t set boundaries for themselves as a band. It’ll all make sense once you listen, but the fact that they pull so much influence really has “Arson on Vine” sounding like a completely new genre. It’s soft, subtle, dramatic, and every member gets their moment to shine. We can’t wait to explore the rest of their discography, in addition to now anxiously waiting on their EP to drop sometime soon in 2022.

With all that being said, please do yourselves a favor and check out the important links below to listen, follow along, and of course to stay tuned for more. Enjoy!
