Released this week on October 14th, 2020, Michelle Martinez and Miguel Fasa have shared their wonderful collaboration single, “Worst Enemy”. Please read along with us for our thoughts on the track, in addition to a bit of background on both artists.
For those who may be unaware, Michelle Martinez and Miguel Fasa have quite the unique relationship. They’re siblings and label mates who have recently come together for this dream collaboration on “Worst Enemy”. What you’ll be hearing is a dynamic, pop and hip-hop crossover single that pumps confidence and motivation into the listener’s ears, making it a perfect addition to any Workout or Getting Ready playlist. “Worst Enemy” is the latest in a series of fall releases from PMA Records in Miami, Florida.
One of the most unique things about the artist’s relationship is their immense amount of talent that they bring to the table, aside from their other careers as actors and actresses. The time was right though for the two when they finally got together to record this smash hit that we honestly haven’t been able to turn off. As lovers of both hip hop and pop, “Worst Enemy” was the perfect marriage of both catchy and upbeat that we needed in our lives. As mentioned, this is the type of song you can pop into any type of Workout playlist, or even when the weather gets a little hot. It’s a track that can be played for pretty much any occasion. The versatility of the two are endless.
The song itself features a high quality production featuring the best of both worlds from each genre. On one hand you’ve got Miguel kicking things off with a short rap sequence, where as Michelle closes it up with her killer vocals. Together they’ve created absolute magic on the single and an EP or even a full album of tracks like these would be greatly appreciated.
Now we do realize they’ve got their own lives and career paths, so that may be a big ask, but the potential here for the two is limitless. Combining their followings and working together on a multi-genre album reflecting the sounds and atmosphere of “Worst Enemy” would be a fantastic endeavour for the two. In the meantime though, we’ll enjoy what we’ve had on repeat and take it from there.
While this was our first foray into the music of both Miguel Fasa and Michelle Martinez, it certainly will not be our last! Consider us new fans who will be watching both careers with a close eye. Whether it be new music released individually or watching whatever movie or TV show they pop up in next, we’re on the fan train 100%.
