Melotika crafts highly danceable track, "Crazy", ahead of her 2nd album
With its official release coming today on April 16th, 2021, we’ve instantly fallen in love with Melotika’s newest single, “Crazy”! Read along for our full featured review, as well as a background on the artist as well.
Mel Yelle, much better known as Melotika, is an electro-pop artist who pulls influences from some of the greats, such as Madonna, Portishead, Evanescense, and so many more. Including eclectic, stimulating, and highly dance-able tunes into her discography, “Crazy” is just another example of how the artist is quickly paving her own path within the genre. We were immediately enthralled with her newest single.
With an album on the way, titled Dancing Without You, this is the second single ahead of its highly anticipated release. Shaped by the likes of New Wave and Disco, Melotika has gone above and beyond on this newest single. At a little under three minutes in total run time, she’s managed to turn us into super fans. We’ll be honest, this was our first foray into the artist’s music, however she’s convinced us that she’s the real deal.
Featuring a complete and cohesive sound that we could only decipher as anthemic, Melotika’s music is just begging to be played to a live audience, preferably somewhere with an ample dancing room. If there’s anything “Crazy” will make you want to do, it’s groove to the catchy and infectious beat that she’s invented.
While Dancing Without You isn’t slated to be shared until Fall 2021, there’s still plenty of music of hers to dig into in the meantime. It should come as quite obvious at this point, but we’re highly recommending and suggesting all the streams of this song. In order to really get a grasp on the artist and the evolution she’s taken as well, check out her past releases as well that are sure to set the stage for how far she’s come.
If a dance party is what you’re looking for, then you’ve found what you need here. Truly though, aside from the dancing, one of the main highlights for us was just how mature and empowering the artist’s vocals were. They’re commanding and do an impeccable job at delivering the lyrics she’s worked so hard to craft. We thought long and hard about it, there just aren’t any negatives we were able to pull from “Crazy”.
With all that being said, go ahead and check out the following links below where you can listen and follow along for all future releases. Enjoy!
