Re-entering the world of music with his first “post pandemic” single, Matthew Pinder has created sheer beauty with “Cascade”. Read on for our full review of the track, as well as a background on this insanely talented artist.

Released on September 17th, Matthew Pinder’s unique take on indie folk has blossomed into something great with his newest, “Cascade”. For this Bahamian artist, he’s managed to focus on a relaxed soundscape that revolves around his striking vocals and emotional lyrics. It’s quite intimate in sound, but ultimately grand in its demeanor. We’re loving this song and think you’re going to as well!

With help from Mitch Webb and Sara Davis Regan who helped to produce “Cascade”, these three collaborators have churned out a song that is spacious and luxurious. Adding in Jake Hildebrand (electric guitar) and Dylan Wissing (drums), Matthew claims this is one of the favorites that he’s made. We’ll be honest as though we just had to go back and explore his discography, we think it might just be our favorite too. If this is what’s coming out after a nearly two year hiatus from the musician, we can only dream of what else he’s been working on in the meantime.

While every single part of the song was enjoyable for us, the highlight of it at all was just how unassuming the song became as it continued to flow on. As this was our introduction to Matthew Pinder’s music, we didn’t quite know what to expect, so when a wall of sound hit us and our smiles collectively formed, that’s when we knew this artist was the real deal. Individually the vocals, production, and instrumentation were impressive on their own, but together they’ve formed an immensely memorable song that we can’t wait to dive right back into.

Without giving too much else away, because the main objective is to get listening, we can’t imagine any type of music listener who would click play and not immediately enjoy what they’re hearing. With that being said though, we’ve made it easier than ever to listen and follow along because all the links to do so can be found below. Enjoy!
