Matt Hammond impresses on single & live session for "Conjure"
Back and better than ever with an all new single titled “Conjure”, Matt Hammond is proving his musical prowess with each subsequent release. We can’t wait for you all to read our full review of the track, as well as a background on this highly talented artist.
Showcasing his always impressive guitar skills right at the forefront of “Conjure”, Matt Hammond’s execution on his latest has been nothing short of amazing. Accompanying this release with a live session (which should not be missed) and a 7” vinyl for the physical collectors out there, everything about this release has been a beauty. Truly, this is a song and artist you need to get into immediately if you haven’t done so already.
Putting on a masterclass in how to pick a guitar, that’s not the only thing that Matt Hammond has impressed us with here. Lyrically speaking, his almost lo-fi approach to the delivery was the perfect style in our eyes to show off a little bit of everything that he’s brought to the table. On a single like this that deserves multiple listens as to really pick up on the subtleties you may be missing out on, it’s encouraged us to consume the rest of his discography which we can already tell you has been nothing but a delight to enjoy.
As mentioned, there’s a live session of the track that is just begging to be watched. We obviously enjoyed everything about the official recorded version, however seeing him in action pull off these sounds that you can only assume would come from 3 guys was dumbfounding. We consider ourselves to be amateur players, however we’ve had to redefine “amateur” based on the video. For a live version of a song, don’t be surprised if your jaw is on the floor by the time it all finishes up, truly astounding.
To be perfectly honest, there isn’t a single negative or critique we could point out here, it’s all just been a fantastic introduction to an artist that we can’t wait to continue to follow along with. We suggest you do the same because we’ve got a feeling that more is on the way soon enough. Do yourselves all a favor and get into “Conjure” immediately, you can do so by checking out all of the important links below.
