For those out of the loop on Mario Anastasiades, he is a soulful singer and songwriter who has painstakingly put together an album based off personal experiences titled No Place Like Home. After getting to speak with the accomplished musician all about the record, it wasn’t difficult to realize that Mario is the real deal. Written over the past 7 years after the tragic loss of his daughter, No Place Like Home is an up close and personal look at the singer’s strife. Mario takes the listener on a journey through different stages of loss, eventually finding the light through the process. From a songwriting standpoint, it really does not get more impressive to be able to turn such heartache into beauty in the form of song. We resonate with this musician in unimaginable ways, but really, we implore the listener to make all of the connections through the deep lyricism.
Without giving too much away here, because we’d obviously love for you to listen to our talk and to the album itself, this artist has really put something extraordinarily special together. You can only imagine the amount of music that gets sent to us, but it’s releases like this that stay at the forefront of our minds. They become memorable of course, but getting to hear all about the stories and background on such personal art brings it to a higher and almost spiritual-like level.
