Hitting all the highs you could possibly want in an all new single, Man Made Hills has delivered yet again “Sunshine”. Read along with us as we break down our complete thoughts on the track, in addition to a background on this project.

Officially released on July 9th, 2021, the Brooklyn-based project of Man Made Hills has released an upbeat and vibrant new single titled “Sunshine”. Manned at the helm by James Carrancio, this artist is crafting up Blues and Americana influenced songs that are virtually guaranteed to put a smile on your face. In this case, his newest output has been shared at the perfect time as the hot weather is in full swing in most of the US.

Soulful, passionate, and bursting at the seams with innovation, “Sunshine” has checked all of our personal boxes for what we consider to be a fantastic song. For Carrancio on the creation of this single, he states that this song represents triumph and “following one’s dreams can, at times, feel like an impossible journey to which we often find ourselves contemplating whether or not all of the effort and pushback encountered is worth it”. You can hear it directly within the lyricism of course, but it’s always a plus when you can get the direct message from the artist behind the beauty.

Perfect for those bright and sunny days of summer, there truly isn’t a single thing we’d change about it. While it appears that this is the first single release from Man Made Hills during this year, our new hopes are that more is on the way. We’ll be honest, we have a feeling it’s going to be hard to top this, but with so many experiences over the last year, it shouldn’t be too difficult of a task.

Without giving too much else away, just know before you dig in that there’s plenty more music like this from Man Made Hills. Aside from overwhelmingly recommending a listen to “Sunshine”, we also implore you as a listener to explore the rest. Not that Blues or Americana are necessarily a dying genre, but the originality infused into all his music is the resurgence we were hoping to hear. With that all being said though, don’t skip out, give a listen today!
