While we were under the impression that Lyle Oliver’s last release “Let Me In” might have been the song of the summer, oh how we were wrong. On his latest song called “Busch Party”, Lyle has included all the elements of a summer song checklist. The lyrics are easy to learn and sing, the instrumentation is catchy and melodic, and overall it’s got that upbeat feel that makes you want to kick back with a cold one and enjoy the day. Just like the rest of his music, he’s continued on his roll and we can’t wait for everyone out there to crank this up and get listening.
What Lyle does best on all his music is the constant blending of genres that invites listeners from all across the spectrum to join in and have as much fun as he’s having. While this one in particular is certainly rooted in country, it features glimmers of rock and roll, classic Americana, and all the passion behind Lyle’s voice that lightens it up. The production once again is supreme and truly brightens up everything in the mix, however undoubtedly our favorite part of this song is the subtle slide guitar that gives “Busch Party” its much needed edge.
To compare it to the rest of Lyle’s discography, this one is the pinnacle of a good time and honestly it’s been on repeat since it got sent our way. The days of kicking back at the beach, attending a friend’s BBQ, or even tidying up around the house will surely have this song at the top of the playlist. We mentioned it at the beginning, but the describer of “anthemic” really sums this one up as it’s crafted for a wide audience to sing for nearly any occasion. We’re midway through 2022 when this review is coming out, but yet again, Lyle Oliver is proving month after month that he can’t miss.
