Unbelievably catchy and even more introspective within the lyrics, Lujza has done an impeccable job on her latest, “Shoulda Woulda”. Read on for an in-depth look into the track, as well as a closer look into this talented artist.

Currently based out of Budapest, Hungary, Lujza is a multi-talented artist specializing in R&B music with many elements of Pop infused as well. On her newest single “Shoulda Woulda”, the artist has brought on Michael Kay as a collaborator, incorporating his melodic vocals into the mix to create this well rounded piece of art with a strong message attached. Plain and simple, we sincerely enjoyed our listen of this, and cannot wait for everyone to give it a spin as soon as possible.

On the background of it all, this is a song that “focuses on the regrets that happen at the end of a relationship, the things that are said and done that may cause pain”. Chances are at some point, we’ve all used the phrase “shoulda woulda”, but it brings a whole new perspective when it comes to the seriousness of relationships and sometimes their tragic endings. The lyrics here are quite poignant and expressive when you make the connections, but even the delivery from Lujza and Michael somehow brings even more of a seriousness in the way everything is being communicated. Not to mention that the late 90’s/early 2000’s-esque production attached to this brings on a nostalgic feeling through the songs of this time.

Considering that Lujza has been on an absolute tear since her debut “Caught Up” in November 2021, it’s been such a year of growth seeing as though it’s been a year of monumental releases. Each one feels like it’s gotten better than the last, but thematically speaking, there’s also such a vulnerability displayed in all of her music. “Shoulda Woulda” has definitely leaned more on the poppy side of things compared to her other R&B tracks, but it’s also shown a real diversity in what she’s capable of making. With the inclusion of Michael Kay, we can confidently say that this may be our favorite release from her yet!
