Seeing its official release this coming Friday, May 7th, 2021, Lucius Echo is back and better than ever with a heavy cover of Tool’s “The Pot”. We got the opportunity to sit with the artist himself and dive into everything about the single, his processes as an artist, and more! Watch our full interview below.

For those unaware of Lucius Echo as an artist, he’s been putting out a mix of transcendent covers and original songs for the past year now. Since we started reviewing his music not too long ago, it’s been a steady mix of genius coming through. In our interview with Lucius, we talked all about what makes him tick as a creative and what we can expect in the future as well. It was a fantastic chat.

In case you forgot about his past releases, we reviewed his cover of Thrice’s “Hurricane”, his debut album Ethereal, and his Hopsin inspired single “The Culling Stone”. It truly was about time that we sat with him and got to hear all about what inspires him. Now we don’t want to give too much away here, because we’d obviously prefer you watch for yourselves, but things got heavy and real answers were shared. We’re happy he opened up and it was nice to speak.

Specifically on “The Pot” though, Lucius Echo cranked it up to 11 and delivered a wonderful rendition that Tool would certainly be proud of. Tool isn’t necessarily a band that we’re too well versed in, however, we know the lore surrounding them and will definitely be doing our due diligence. We at least listened to their original version of the song and Lucius did an amazing job at capturing the essence.

With all that being said though, it was a true pleasure to speak, and we highly recommend you watch our interview and listen to the track as soon as possible. We promise you won’t regret it. Additionally, you may as well check out the rest of Lucius’ music as well because it’s just as good!
