A literal match made in music cover heaven, Lucius Echo has beyond excelled on his newest effort of Limp Bizkit’s classic, “Break Stuff”. Keep reading as we take a closer look into the track, as well as a much needed update on this artist.

We’ve been covering Lucius Echo extensively over the past few years now and not once has he ever let us down on any of his many originals or covers. His streak has stayed alive as he’s served up an intense new version of Limp Bizkit’s well known single, “Break Stuff”. As always, Lucius’ vocals have that raspy power to them that fits the mold of this new version and somehow someway the instrumentals feel even more extreme. We love it and truly cannot wait for everyone to turn it up and get listening.

For those potentially out of the loop on this multidimensional musician, he’s a singer, songwriter, and so much more who’s released over 60 songs that span 12 wildly different genres. We’ve mentioned it multiple times in the past, but you never really know what you’re going to get when you click the play button on a Lucius Echo song. Using his many skills and talents, we’re honestly surprised it took so long to get a cover of this 1999 classic. Although the band is certainly experiencing a resurgence in popularity, we’re just thrilled that this artist has recognized what a monumental piece of art the song is and transformed it to fit his own sound. Like so many covers out there, they tend to be straight ripoffs with no reimaginings, however this 2023 release really does pull from within and create something new.

As mentioned, the instrumentals went into overdrive and exemplified that heavy feeling of the original, but the true energy is coming from the vocals. Fred Durst will always be his own thing, but Lucius Echo isn’t far behind in delivering something that we feel surpasses. Honestly, it sends a cold shiver down your spine in the more passionate passages, cementing our love further for this artist and the song. Obviously, we cannot wait for everyone to get into this!
