Loco & Jam surpass expectations on hypnotic single, "Breathe"
Nearing seven minutes of high intensity production and original beats, Loco & Jam have surpassed all expectations on their latest, “Breathe”. Read on for an in-depth look into the single, as well as a background on these artists.
For those out of the loop, Loco & Jam are a Northern Irish techno duo made up of Lloyd Reid and James Peoples. Having now been cranking out jams since 2007, they focus intently on minimalistic yet melodic music providing a no frills attitude, but with all the danceability. On their latest endeavor titled “Breathe”, this extended mix aims to bring a stylistic inspiration from their past works, all the while launching themselves into a new era of twists and turns. All you really need to know is that it’s fantastic and we highly recommend a listen.
Embracing that classic techno feel, Loco & Jam waste no time whatsoever immediately throwing the listener into the deep end with nearly no ramp up. By the 30 second mark of the track, you’re fully inundated with extra serotonin and the overwhelming feeling to get up and dance it out. Even though the song does near the seven minute mark, one that could feel lengthy, “Breathe” is the definition of immersive. Time ceases to exist and the only thing that truly matters is whatever is going to happen next in the song. Although it is fairly minimalistic as mentioned, it has more than enough going on sonically to boost your mood and have you grooving into the twilight hours of the night.
Considering the power duo have released a massive amount of music just in 2022, this undoubtedly captures the essence of their hot streak leading up until now. We’re not overly familiar with their slated release schedule, but if we had to hope, there’d be a slew of music shared that held this feeling and mood that “Breathe” emanates. Additionally, we’re not avid club goers, but we know for a fact that if this popped on in any venue, we’d be the first to the dance floor.
