Following up her stellar EP Heartfear, Liz Van Gretsch is back and better than ever with an anthemic and energetic new track she’s titled “Twisted My”. We are loving it! Keep reading for a closer look into the track, as well as an update on this emerging artist.

You may remember, but it was less than a month ago that we had the special opportunity to speak with Liz Van Gretsch all about Heartfear. With a creative streak that seems never ending, aiming to always push the envelope of her varied sound, she’s delivered something huge with the fresh release of “Twisted My”. With help on the production once again from Peredur Ap Gywnedd (Pendulum), the collaborators have so delicately bridged the gap between electronic and rock music. Obviously, we’re overwhelmingly recommending everyone out there check this out as soon as possible.

Now while we’re not quite sure when this was recorded, potentially in the midst of the Heartfear sessions, it truly feels like the spiritual followup to everything we enjoyed so much about the EP. In this scenario though, Liz has managed to go even bigger with the guitars all the while keeping that hard rock influence and capitalize on the atmosphere built within the pulsating synthesizers. Creating from the heart as always, Liz left us with an important quote that needs to be shared, “For everyone that knows me well, they know what I stand for. I don’t make music for the numbers. You will never find me telling people how many streams I have, or thanking Spotify for their playlists or in fact now even wanting to be on a playlist - no thank you. What you will find me doing, is making music that I wholeheartedly and fully believe in, that fuels me and gives me purpose in my life because in turn, I want the listener to feel the same”. Every moment of that statement shines through perfectly on “Twisted My”, there’s no doubt about that.

We mentioned it above, but everything about this screams the word “anthemic”. Basically what we mean is that you can instantly envision yourselves in a sea of thousands singing the chorus right back to Liz. It’s easy to pick up lyrically even on the first listen and holds an immense amount of emotion within its delivery and cadence as well. Liz and Peredur are taking their “guitarwave” music to the next level, and with so much more news on the way in terms of releases and shows, now is the ideal time to introduce yourselves to the rest of her music.

For the uninitiated, go ahead and please check out the links below to listen, follow along, and of course to keep up with all future news. Enjoy!
