Unless you’ve been living under a rock during 2022, Liz Van Gretsch has been on an absolute tear releasing single after single jam packed with greatness and ingenuity. She’s kept her streak alive once again with a fresh new song titled “The Inferno”. This isn’t their first time collaborating together, but even comparing it to past tracks, they’ve moved the goal posts for something special. It’s our pleasure to recommend everyone out there give this a listen.
On the background of it all, ultimately it’s an insightful and introspective single that details Liz’s experiences in music thus far. So many talented individuals lack that fire or “inferno” to have the courage and make the big step to create, but for those that do, the future can be immensely special. Says Liz on it all, “‘The Inferno’ is about life, love, lessons and remembering that we all bleed the same… learning and growing”. Paired nicely with her signature sound that embodies a slightly electronic production, a heavy leaning instrumentation, and her always dynamic vocals, this song fits snugly into Liz’s rapidly growing discography.
Even on the creation of this, it was put together relatively quickly, almost as if the stars continued to align to allow this to exist. We could talk all day about how much love the guitar tones (which we do) and the slightly suspenseful moments that arise, but it’s the sheer emotion and ferocity that Liz holds in her voice that stands out the most. You can truly feel the experiences she’s gone through in the way she sings, continuously aiming to climb the mountain that is the music industry. It should almost go without saying due to our overwhelming positivity, but “The Inferno” is another hidden gem in Liz Van Gretch’s catalog, catapulting her to prolific status. We cannot wait to see what 2023 holds for this emerging artist.
