Released this morning on October 15th, 2020, Libba is back with a stunning new single, titled “Innocent Eyes”. Please read along with us as we break down our thoughts on the track, in addition to some insight on the artist herself.

For those who may be unaware, Libba is an independent singer and songwriter who started her musical journey in Nashville, Tennessee. after several months of being in the Bay Area! She has released only a few originals, but on this newest single, she is most proud of the lyrics behind the stellar vocals. Libba also produces music of others and her own. She’s become an inspiration to other artists mainly due to hearing realness within her discography.

Let us begin by telling you it can’t be overstated how much “Innocent Eyes” took us by surprise. We absolutely loved it just based on our first listening and had to immediately dig back in for a second as soon as it was finished. While it starts off as a dramatic piano ballad, it quickly transitions into a bombtastic pop track that sent shivers all the way down our bodies.

With the lovely mix of Libba’s breathtaking vocal performance, the varied instrumentation, and the high quality production, we can confidently say she’s got yet another winner on her hands with this release. While this was our first foray into the music of Libba, it’s certainly not going to be our last. Once our listens were up, we listened to the rest of her tunes and to no surprise, they held up just as well.

One of the best things about this track in particular were just how “big” it gets at points. In a sense it’s dramatic within its tone, but as it builds up to the climax of the song, everything just comes together to create one final moment. At only 4 minutes in run time, we would love nothing more than a full album filled with tracks just like these.

It should come as no surprise to the reader that we’re highly recommending and suggesting you take the time out of your day and check out “Innocent Eyes”, we can guarantee you won’t regret a second of it. It’s a perfect way to kick off your Friday, so get to it!
