Lachie A'rden returns with his summer-ready new single, "Mistakes"

Releasing today on July 31st, 2020, Lachie A’rden is back with the EDM single of the summer, titled “Mistakes”. Read along with us as we breakdown the track, as well as provide a bit of background on the artist himself.
Australian born producer, Lachie A’rden has just put forth a fantastic new single that is ripe for the hot summer weather. Before we dig into the song though, we’d love to provide you with a bit of insight into the artist’s life. Lachie started producing electronic music in only May of 2019 after a kidney failure forced him out of his previous career in consulting and allowed him to find a new path. Music was an escape from the otherwise difficult day to day situation he was facing. It gave him a new sense of direction and positivity and so he has tried to inject that positive uplifting vibe into all of his tracks. For Lachie, music should make you feel happy, positive and uplifted, and that’s what he strives to deliver. If after listening to the heart pumping “Mistakes” doesn’t make you feel any of those emotions, something is clearly wrong!
The release follows “Into The Night”, Lachie’s stunning second release which drew acclaim from CULTR, Music Crowns, and a number of other publications. The release is primarily guided by an inspiring vocal of female empowerment, perfectly placed above a beautiful set of keys and synths making this release the perfect addition to Lachie's growing catalogue. Discussing the release, Lachie A’rden explains, “Emotive music that the listener can both relate to and connect with is what I strive to deliver in my tracks. Music for me is about more than just what number my track sits in the charts or what DJ plays my song. Music makes us feel, it connects us with each other, tells a story, allows us to escape, taking us to another place.”
Those are seriously uplifting words coming from Lachie A’rden. The path that he’s been on thus far and the obstacles he’s faced, he honestly deserves every bit of success that’s coming his way, especially with such a fantastic single.
Digging into it, “Mistakes” is the summer-ready single we were hoping for in times like these. While we’re certainly not out at the clubs partying it up, that doesn’t mean we can’t dance around in our houses or apartments to it. The overall beat and production is uniquely original for what we’re used to and are quite refreshing compared to what’s normally played on the radio as well. Lachie took the originality and spun it in a very positive direction.
As much as our heads were bumping back and forth to the sound of the beat, the vocals on the track are equally flawless. Featuring her vocals on “Mistakes”, Brittany Bouchard made a lovely appearance that truly brought the song and atmosphere together. There’s nothing better than a catchy beat paired with impeccable female vocals. Both Lachie and Brittany knocked it out of the park and we hope there are many collaborations in the works for the future.
It’s Friday, which means it’s officially the weekend. It’s time to turn on “Mistakes”, crank it up as loud as it can possibly go, and get dancing!
