It’s been a few weeks since we last covered Lachie A’rden, but with his latest release of “Just Friends”, he’s successfully engineered another beautiful track. Read along with us as we break down our thoughts on the newest single.

You may remember not too long ago we covered Lachie’s single, “Mistakes”. Well if you loved that as much as we did, you’re in for another treat with “Just Friends”. Similar in style to the previous single, “Just Friends” is a collaboration track that hits just as hard. The single was just released on August 21st through Phoenix House Music.

Lachie tells us that working with Joey has taken his work to the next level in the best way possible. You’ll notice higher production value, song design, and overall vocal delivery that comes together to create an anthemic and highly danceable new track. In addition to working with Joey on the single, Lachie was also recently mentored by the Director of the London Music Conference, Sam Speaight, who also provided guidance that’s definitely going to take Lachie’s music to the next level.

There are a few more surprises that are on the way, but you’ll just have to stay tuned to find out what’s going on. With that being said, let’s focus on “Just Friends” for now. There wasn’t a doubt in our mind that this was going to be on the same level as “Mistakes” and in our multiple listens, it’s honestly difficult to say which we liked better. In this case, as soon as the beat enters, all you want to do is get up and dance. If that isn’t the sign of a great song, then we don’t know what is.

While we’ll obviously let you be the judges yourself, we feel that this collaboration track is going to rank highly on our favorite songs of the summer. It’s an insanely fun and catchy song that features angelic vocals. The production in the background is superbly flawless. Coming in at around three and a half minutes though, we truly wish it were longer. Who knows, maybe it’s worthy of a remix one of these days.

If you’re looking for the next song to enter your summer playlists, look no further, because “Just Friends” is worthy of it. That’s enough reading for one day, it’s time to get listening! Stay up to date with Lachie A’rden and check out the following links below.
