Kings County open up on dynamic new single, "My Addiction" - Interview
Recently released this past week on May 21st, 2021, Kings County are back with their first new track of the year, “My Addiction”. Luckily for us we got the opportunity to speak with the band all about it in a full length interview. Watch our interview below.
Currently based out of Orlando, Florida, Kings County are a four piece rock band that consistently push the boundaries and decibel levels within their genre. In our full and featured interview with the band, we got to hear all about their latest single “My Addiction”, their processes on its creation, and what we can expect to drop from the band in the coming weeks and months.
For those out of the loop, Kings County are made up of Rob Dexter (Vocals, Bass), Steve Bell (Guitars, Vocals), Joe Lopez (Drums) and Bill Kania (Guitars, Vocals). We also got a bit of background on the song from Dexter himself who let us know its origins, “We all struggle with some form of addiction and our newest single, ‘My Addiction’ addresses just that. The constant internal battle we all feel in life, whatever the addiction is and the ability to conquer one's own demons".
Produced by super producer and engineer Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Soundgarden, Tantric) at Pearl Sound Studios (Asking Alexandria, Eminem, Filter) in Canton, Michigan, so many wonderful and inspiring people have come together to help on this release. There’s even a music video that was created that you can watch by clicking HERE. We won’t spoil the music video, as we’d prefer you watched, but lets just say you’re definitely not going to want to miss out on this one. It brought a serious amount of new life into a song that we haven’t been able to turn off.
Wrapping it all up though, not only are Kings County mastering their craft as musicians, but they’re also a bunch of incredibly nice individuals as well. We had a blast during our interview, which is why we’ll let you know once again that it’s 100% worth your time to get to know the members behind the music and learn a little bit about a musical genre that you may not be familiar with. The main priority should definitely be to check out “My Addiction”, it’s a stunner.
