At just 24 years old, KHAOS has only been in the music game since 2018, but he’s already making waves across the scene with the release of Showtime. With the production coming from Quan On Da Beat, the two came together for a fantastic hip hop album that we’ll definitely be catching ourselves playing throughout summer from time to time. Taking direct influence from J Cole, Nas, and Lil’ Wayne, the songs definitely sound like that influence stayed, yet KHAOS put his own spin on it to really create his own personal atmosphere.

The project was released extremely recently on June 13th, and we’re seriously loving what we’re hearing. To shout out some specific tracks, we’ve had “Mamba Mentality”, “Hotel California” (featuring Ray-Gun), and “Heart of a Champ”. While the entire record is listenable from front to back, the songs can definitely be cherry picked out to put on individual playlists that evoke all types of moods and emotions.

All in all, the album hits hard, especially due to its Los Angeles Lakers themes. While the songs have direct mentions and titles alluding to the famous sports team, the album artwork is truly something to behold. Personally, I’d love a poster of the artwork because it just fits the entire feel of the album so well. Everything about it really is fantastic, and the music of course.

At such an early time in his career, KHAOS shows an immense amount of promise with where he’ll be in the next 5, 10, or 15 years of recording. If a record of this quality can come at such an early point in your career, we’re hoping that it’s only looking up from here. Not to mention all of the features on the album deserve individual attention. The talent and production that was brought onto Showtime is just plain great, we highly recommend you give a listen.
