On an absolute tear with her 5th official release of the year, Kayley Bishop has done it once again on a soul-filled single she’s titled “Honey Yes”. Do yourselves all a favor and read on for a close look at the track, in addition to a background on the artist.

Based out of Nashville, Kayley Bishop is a singer, songwriter, and multi-talented performer who’s put everything she’s got into the creation of her latest, “Honey Yes”. While it’s certainly rooted in country, she’s gone the extra mile and infused so many other genres and elements into the song. Featuring a robust horns section, her expansive vocals, and much more, we can’t help but recommend the world to listen to this song immediately.

Right off the bat, Kayley sucks you in with her vocals that are warm and inviting, yet there’s such a raw power to them you simply can’t look away. Paired with those horns which were an unexpected surprise, the first 30 seconds are this colorful and mood lifting sequence of what music is really all about. Typically we find that a horns section isn’t too present in country music, but my goodness it works so incredibly well in pepping up the sound and bringing life nito the mix. While there’s plenty of musical influences that come through from the likes of Jewel or Celine Dion, we can confirm right now that this is legitimately as original and inventive as it comes within the genre.

Furthermore, there’s just a real streamline of twists and turns that present themselves. You’re hit with a semi nostalgic feeling but with so many glimmers of modernity that bring “Honey Yes” into the future. We can definitely see ourselves returning to the song when we’re in need of positive energy, a dash of storytelling, or want to be flooded with emotion. There are really so many music listeners who tend to stray away from country music for whatever reason, but if shown this song out of context, it could be the ideal entry point to a new world of sound.

With all that being said, take our word for it and please check out Kayley’s song whenever you can. We’ve included the links below to listen, follow along, and of course to keep up with all future releases.
