Celebrating the release of her third full length album titled Freedom, we got the wonderful opportunity to sit and speak with the artist behind the music, Jude Adams! Please enjoy our full interview below.
For those unfamiliar, Jude Adams is an immensely talented singer and songwriter currently based out of the UK. Released officially in 2022, but still just as fantastic today, we got the chance to speak with Jude about her newest album Freedom in which she gave us a much needed background on how it was made, her personal history and struggles, plus a peek into what we can expect in this new year. If for any reason this is your introduction to the artist, we’re urging everyone out there to dig into this immediately.
Starting a bit later in life in her musical endeavors has confidently proved that it’s never too late to follow your dreams and turn those into a reality. In addition to Jude Adams’ Freedom being an eclectically diverse and exciting listen, speaking with this artist and hearing her backstory was truly the cherry on top to our experience from start to finish. Now 10+ years into this journey as an artist and so much more, clearly nothing is standing in the way anymore of her continuing to put out inspiring and downright awe-inducing music. Coming in at 10 songs, spanning right around 35 minutes in length, Freedom blurs the lines between country, bluegrass, and infuses a ton of other musical elements for something that’s proved to be incredibly unique.
Backed up by a team of superb session musicians, plus having the chance to get this mixed and mastered at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, we’ve hailed it as an album experience that’s begging to be listened to uninterrupted. Even better, Jude already has plans slated for this upcoming March to get back in the studio and working on another record of songs. During our conversation, we covered a variety of more topics that deepened our connection with this artist and honestly has us so excited to see what the rest of this year holds.
