Josie Bello outdoes herself on stellar 3rd LP, "Resilience"

Expertly blending together a delicate mix of folk, rock, and country, Josie Bello’s pureness comes through eloquently on her third record, Resilience. Centering the album ultimately around her intelligent lyricism and dynamic vocal range, lovers of music across the entire spectrum are guaranteed to find something they can feel comfortable in here. Absolutely, this is not a record you’re going to want to miss out on.
So much of what we enjoyed about Resilience, and there was a lot, was the fact that she can switch from serious to playful in mere moments. Her lyricism is a total strong point here, but what makes it all is the conviction and confidence within her deliveries. She’s able to pivot and look within, all the while flipping the switch and getting downright serious. There’s a certain cohesiveness that this album holds and we found it much better to be listened to from start to finish as opposed to aimlessly picking out singles. We’re not saying individuals can’t be picked out for playlisting purposes, however you’re really about to experience what an album should sound like in today’s landscape.
We’re not surprised in the slightest that this record is getting rave reviews and this is really just another one to add to the list. We’ll be honest though, this was our first introduction to Josie’s music, but it only gave us the push to check out her previous works for a proper comparison. The first two records definitely can stand on their own, but like any established artist, she’s finding herself even more and more on these releases.
