Back and better than ever, Joshua’s Habit have just shared their comeback album The Hard Road, and it was 100% worth the wait. Please read along as we break down our complete thoughts on the record, as well as a background on the band.

Formed originally in Calgary at the turn of the new century, Joshua’s Habit have resurfaced after a brief musical hiatus with the fresh release of The Hard Road. Combining glimmers and bits of their old sound, but ultimately infusing a massive dose of modern rock, this album is everything we could’ve hoped for in a comeback. Right off the bat, we are highly recommending a listen as soon as possible.

After opening for major acts such as Pearl Jam, The Trews, Jeff Healey, and more, Joshua’s Habit racked up plenty of awards around the 2010’s before they went on hiatus. Crawling back and releasing the lead single “Escape” not too long ago was when we knew something big was on the way, but the absolute overwhelmingly delivery of The Hard Road is something we weren’t expecting in the slightest.

Coming in at 10 total tracks, spanning just about 37 minutes in total run time, there’s seemingly an endless amount of highs reached throughout the listen. While it does kick off with “Escape” in the tracklisting, we couldn’t help but get the feeling of cohesiveness within the album’s complete sound, which is why we highly suggest clicking play on the opener and letting it run through to get the entirety of the message. Instrumentally, the band is back to doing what they do best. They’ve included every rock genre under the sun, but the emphasis on pop punk is what we loved the most.

Even better, they’re already working on a follow up record, as well as getting back on the road in late 2021/2022. Now’s never been a better time to get back into the music of Joshua’s Habit and explore their new sound that they’ve brought to the table. We’ve done the easy part and linked everything important below in order to listen and follow along for the latest news. Enjoy!
