Fresh off the release of his soulful and passionate new single “Pretend It Never Happened”, we got the unique opportunity to sit and speak with Josh Roberts himself all about it! Don’t miss out, check out our full interview below.

Lyrically profound and ultimately beautiful in its sound, Josh Roberts has done it once again on his newest track, “Pretend It Never Happened”. If this is your introduction into the artist, Josh is an independent pop artist and songwriter who’s surely proved he can successfully tackle any kind of genre. In our interview with the artist, we spoke on a variety of interesting topics, but really got down to it and learned all about the intricacies of his latest.

While the main priority of this all is to get listening to the song as soon as you can, you really don’t want to miss out on an interesting conversation here. We won’t give too much away as we’d prefer for you to give a listen, but getting into the artist’s head and really understanding how he goes about crafting his music is the gift that keeps on giving. We’ve covered him in the past, specifically on his single “Lovers Do”, which is a total 180 from the sound presented here.

For this Oklahoma born and now Nashville-based performer, it seems as though the options are limitless for where his sound could end up. Not holding yourself to a specific genre is the way to go in our opinion, because if you’re not making music that you enjoy yourself, then what’s the point ultimately. As Josh Roberts continues to shape and shift his sound, what we’re loving the most is that the heart and soul continues to stay present and centered at the core of the song. “Pretend It Never Happened” is no different and that fact stays true from the opening note to the last.

Sincerely, we can’t wait for everyone to give this song and our discussion a listen. It would be in your best interest though to peruse the rest of his discography in order to get a really nice feel on where he’s come from and where he’s going. To do so, we’ve included all the important links below for you to listen and follow along, enjoy!
