Leading with his voice and heartfelt lyricism, Jon Wayne Hatfield is back for another spectacular single he’s titled “You & Me”. Keep reading for an in-depth review of the track, as well as a background on this artist.

Freshly released on May 27th, 2022, Jon Wayne Hatfield’s “You & Me” is already proving to be a hit given its acclaim over the past couple of weeks. With the help of Ed O'Donnell, Jacob Rice, and Kevin Bard on the writing, this team of collaborators have come together to create this imagery-filled song that so eloquently paints a picture from start to finish. It’s filled to the brim with immense emotion of this personal experience, but paired a suspenseful instrumentation, has resulted in a top notch listen.

Recorded at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, “You & Me” exudes that classic country essence that sort of seems to be fading within the genre. Don’t get us wrong, we love to see modern blends of everything, but the pure country feel that this holds from start to finish takes us back to our childhood and the music we truly enjoyed. Of course it needs to be mentioned, but we can fully attribute that to the sincerity in Jon Wayne Hatfield’s voice that brings all of the flair to the song. The instrumentation presented certainly is impressive in its own right even though it sits in the back of the mix, but the stylistic decision to crank up Jon’s vocals in the forefront was the right one.

Without even needing a music video, it also goes to show the power of storytelling at hand. You can visualize it all as the writers take you on a journey of romance and it really doesn’t take a lot to connect all the dots here either. We’ve been nothing but smitten with this song and the amount of times we’ve gone back for more, we’re hearing and experiencing new things as well. With that being said, please do yourselves all a favor and check this one out as soon as you can. We’ve included the most important links below to listen, follow along, and to stay in touch for all the news we’re sure is on the way for the rest of this year.
