Formed on the Central Coast of California and consistently playing shows since 2017, Jolon Station Band have done it once again on their newest output, “Kept My Soul”. Expertly blending up a fairly even mix of classic country and rock, we’ve instantly come to love their newest song as its reverberated a sense of optimism and positivity. Without a doubt, we are highly recommending you give it a listen as soon as you can.
For this band, the overall goal is to give the listener a unique listening experience that borders the line of raw, rugged, and passionate. As this was our first introduction to the band through “Kept My Soul”, we can confidently confirm that they’ve delivered on all their promises, plus more. As lovers of all things country and rock in our personal listening time, this is exactly the type of music we can’t wait to follow along with as they continue to share new tracks. Rumor is they’re actively working on more at the moment, so definitely stay tuned for more.
At just a tad under four minutes in run time, the song hits all the marks for us in terms of complex lyricism, diversified instrumentation, and a really nice guitar solo to tie it all together. Truly, there was something quite inspiring, yet relaxing, about listening to “Kept My Soul”. You can sense the love that they’ve imparted onto the song and we felt that it came across clearly in the looseness of their playing. You can imagine all the members thoroughly enjoying themselves during the writing and recording process. Seeing as though we’re in California ourselves, it’ll be a goal of ours to get to a show to witness their greatness, along with everything else they’ve made so far.
