Jeremy Schonfeld opens up with the details in our interview for "Brooklyn to Beacon"
Review by Austin Sher
Fresh off the release of his first album in 9 years, we got the unique opportunity to speak with Jeremy Schonfeld all about Brooklyn to Beacon. To watch our full interview, please click on the YouTube link below.
We had an incredible time speak with Jeremy all about his musical influences, the details of what inspired him to create this record, and what we may be expecting in the future. Aside from being an extremely talented artist, Jeremy is also a fantastic person and even better interviewee. The depth that he went into on some of our questions really showed the true knowledge of where he’s been and where he’s headed.
On Brooklun to Beacon specifically, well, the album is immaculate. We absolutely have loved our multiple listens thus far and have no plans to stop listening in the near future. It’s big, bold, and shows off the best qualities in Jeremy’s wheelhouse of talents. Brooklyn To Beacon was produced by Jeremy Schonfeld, Will Bryant, Lee Falco, and Brandon Morrison at The Building (formerly the original Falcon music venue in Marlboro NY).
According to the artist, Schonfeld says, "Brooklyn To Beacon is an album I needed to create to help me define the ending of a 27-year journey. It's an album about reflection, contemplation, dreams and disappointments, reevaluating priorities, and finding appreciation for the life that is while making peace with the lives we must leave behind. It’s also a heartfelt tribute to my greatest loves: My wife and my children. But ultimately, “Brooklyn to Beacon” is an album about the never-ending search for meaning and purpose in our lives, especially as we get older. Are we still relevant? Do we still have something to say? What are the legacies we will leave behind…..?"
There’s really not much else to say here besides, get listening! For all things Jeremy Schonfeld, to listen to Brooklyn to Beacon, and to keep up with all future releases and information, please check out the following links below.
