Officially releasing on June 10th, 2022, we got the special opportunity to preview JAXON’s debut album Lost and Found! Let us potentially be the first to tell you that it’s stellar almost beyond words. Read on for our complete review of the record, as well as a background on the artist.

For those out of the loop, JAXON is a 21 year old multi-instrumentalist, rapper, songwriter, and producer who’s currently based out of Austin, Texas. As he’s slowly been releasing singles leading up to the big day, it’s finally arrived and Lost and Found has surpassed all our wildest expectations. Spanning genres through Rap, R&B, and glimmers of an electronic production, there’s sincerely a little bit of something for all kinds of music enjoyers on here. Without a doubt, it’s a record you should be keeping an eye on.

Taking vast inspiration from infinite artists, JAXON has still managed to craft and innovate something completely unique to himself. While it felt like there were so many moments that we could point out as our “favorite”, the tone, vibe, and versatility come to the forefront. Through the first few tracks, we instantly felt like this was an ideal summer listen for those who are experiencing hot weather. If you’re chilling by the beach, cruising on the freeway, or kickin’ it with a group of friends at a house party, we can think of no better atmosphere to set than with a front to back listen of Lost and Found.

Now while the sonic nature of it all was a definite stand out, this record goes quite deep in terms of lyricism and storytelling. Specific singles like “When Times Get Tough” and “First Time” immediately come to mind as ones to connect the dots in the words, but we’re sure you’ll have your own personal favorites as well. Instrumentally speaking, the diverse use of sounds and styles allowed for JAXON to really capture a wide breadth of emotion here too. Each song feels like its own little world, but it all still comes together to create a cohesive album listening experience. That’s something that isn’t so common nowadays, so you can only imagine our thrill given its complete essence.

With all that being said, no matter when you’re reading this, you’ve got to make it a listening priority. Go ahead and check out those links below to do so, in addition to following the artist on his social media. Enjoy!
