An enlightening and exotic experience from start to finish, the artist known as J.fur has absolutely hit the mark on his latest track, “Man From Oslo”. Keep reading as we take a closer look into the single, as well as a background on this emerging artist.

Currently representing the music scene in sunny San Diego, California, J.fur (Jordan Furlong) is a melodic house producer in which he’s jump started the new year on a real high note with “Man From Oslo”. Showcasing his versatility and dynamic range as a producer and beyond, this song immediately sucks you into its seemingly endless emotion, heart, and soul that continuously reverberate through the mix. Plain and simple, we love it, and confidently feel that all who hit the play button will feel the exact same.

Taking a look at electronic music as a whole, where we feel J.fur is differentiating himself from the massive pack is that not only has he crafted together modern club grooves, but has also directly infused an introspection and hypnotic nature into the song. Ultimately what we mean by that is there’s an immersive feeling that “Man From Oslo” gives off, presenting the opportunity to the listener to either dance it out or find yourself within. As a purely instrumental offering, you quickly find you’ll get lost within the complexity of it all as the thoughts begin to roll and you truly hope it doesn’t come to an end. At 6+ minutes in runtime, this song could have easily ran 10+ and we wouldn’t have had anything negative to say about it.

As this single is actually the lead off of his upcoming EP, Extravertical, we’re already patiently waiting to see how the rest of the record shapes up. If it’s anything like this, consider us sold and super fans. However even if it delves into more experimentation, we’ve got a sneaking suspicion that immersive feeling is here to stay. It could be a signature essence of J.fur himself, but only time will tell for now. As a listener whether you’re looking to turn up for the night or to try to get out of your own head, “Man From Oslo” serves multiple purposes that are worth experiencing this multiple times to figure it out for yourself.
