ïnski details his introspective debut EP, "Belated" - Interview
When an EP gets released and it’s as great as this is, it 100% deserves to be talked about. That’s exactly why we brought on the artist who goes as ïnski for an in-depth conversation surrounding Belated. Please check out our full interview below.
For those somehow out of the loop, ïnski is the moniker of Denver-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Brandon Jay. On his debut EP titled Belated, this artist’s aim is to take existing and soon to be new listeners on an emotional listening experience that details his personal journey through the last crazy year of our collective lives. Without a doubt, we can’t wait for you to listen, but more importantly this is a conversation you’re not going to want to miss.
Acting as a composer, arranger, and ultimately the guiding light as a storyteller, ïnski has crafted a dreamy record that’s filled with passion and endless emotion. While it’s extremely introspective in its stories, it perfectly expands and encapsulates so many atmospheric sounds that pair delicately with heartfelt lyrics. We spoke about it during our talk, but he could have just as easily taken the easy route and done away with the production, however the finished product was something truly to behold.
As this is his debut EP to the world, we’re over here now crossing our fingers that the next year is going to bring even bigger and better things. When we looked at a time horizon of one year from now, it sounded like there’s lofty goals on the way, and we sincerely can’t wait to see where this project takes him. Setting a solid base for the future, there should certainly be some experimentation in sound as well.
Without giving too much else away and beginning to wrap it all up, let us confidently tell you right now that Belated needs to be the next record in your listening queue. Put on your best set of headphones, take a walk, and connect the dots with this beauty of a record. Chances are, you’re going to love it just as much as we did!
