Hunter Adams debuts her heartfelt new single, "One More Night"

Released today on August 6th, 2020, Hunter Adams is back with yet another impressive new single, titled “One More Night”. Read along with us as we break down what exactly we thought of the track, as well as provide a bit of background information and insight into the artist.
Before we dive into our thoughts on the music, we’d love to give some background on Hunter Adams. It’s always best to familiarize yourselves with the artist, it really does help to build that connection to the music. Hunter’s life as a kid was a tough one. Her home life was tumultuous, to say the least, and she was never good at making friends. Eventually she turned to music and stories very, very quickly as a means of not only trying to understand the world, but to understand herself. It was a world that she could retreat to (and ultimately, live in) to best protect herself from the chaos around.
She started writing songs as a means of having someone to talk to, and somewhere to put the storm of thoughts and feelings that perpetually brewed inside. Hunter has always enjoyed beautiful, meaningful music because it made her feel better; as it should for all of us. The artists she grew up listening to were like friends, always comforting, and giving advice as she tried to navigate towards her own freedom. Like most artists, I feel that a huge sense of artistry and creativity can come from isolation. Not necessarily being bored with your thoughts, but finding an outlet that not only energizes you, but something you can emotionally connect with. As music lovers and musicians ourselves, her explanations of finding something that brings you to bay are quite easy to relate with. The ultimate goal for Hunter is to create music that will comfort you, enliven you, and help you to feel less alone.
To get a bit less heavy, let us begin by saying we absolutely loved what we heard on “One More Night”. After listening to the rest of Hunter Adams’ released music, this one immediately ranked high with us. The opening acoustic picking instantly drew us in, right up until Hunter’s voice entered the mix. Her smooth vocal delivery along with the opening drums were nearly all we had to hear in order to be hooked.
Honestly, it was difficult to pick out what we liked most about the song, because there were so many redeeming qualities overall. I think the standout would have to be the vocals and the lyrics to go along. There’s a story being told, all you need to do is listen, because it’s especially personal. Coming in at a three and a half minute track length, the song 100% left us wanting more. The intoxicating instrumentation, especially the drumming, really made for a fantastic new single. If we weren’t fans of Hunter Adams before, we certainly are now. We can’t wait to see what else is on the way!
